Keep praying for your “problem child”

“Parents…instruct them about the Lord.” Eph 6:4 CEV

 

When you raise each of your children the same way and yet one of them turns out to be a problem child, what should you do?

(1) Pray for wisdom. “Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established” (Pr 24:3 NKJV). Don’t obsess over one child and shortchange the others. Reduce your concentration on your problem child. Instead of continually trying to fix them, enjoy all your children and watch things improve.

(2) Give them the time they need. God didn’t make two snowflakes alike, nor two children. Some problem children are just late arrivers; they develop at different rates and in different ways.

(3) Accept what you don’t like about them. Many families have a problem child, and they make us uncomfortable by not doing things like the rest of the family. What should you do? Accept them as they are until God either changes them or teaches the family mature, unconditional, noncontrolling love toward them.

(4) Do your best and ask God to do the rest. The prophet Samuel’s sons “did not follow his ways. They turned aside after dishonest gain and accepted bribes and perverted justice” (1Sa 8:3 NIV). Yes, it was embarrassing and disappointing, but no charge of parental failure is laid on Samuel’s doorstep. He was as godly a man as ever lived. Yet when push came to shove, his sons didn’t choose to follow in his footsteps or embrace his values.

(5) Respond by faith, not fixing. However dysfunctional your child may be, their greatest asset is a parent who responds by faith, not fixing; by praying, not prying; and who gets out of God’s way and lets Him work.

Loving the unlovable

The healing process starts and ends with love but how you might ask, read along as we examine the healing process. Greater love was revealed on the cross when the Son of Man sacrificed himself for heathens like me and you. Whilst we were regarded as outcasts in the society, a people undeserving of any recognition he chose to love us anyhow.

We were once regarded as unclean (filthy in the eyes of the chosen tribe), so much that Jews were supposed to cleanse themselves for three days after having any contact with us. The same was the procedure when they touched a pig. What a beautiful presentation of love displayed with Jesus Christ by loving the unlovable people unworthy of recognition.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 NIV

He disregarded the moral standards of those days and thus made a new covenant that gave heathens like us access to the throne of Grace. Absurdity, it seemed to the Pharisees that the ceremonially unclean people were now invited into the kingdom of God under the new covenant.

We were dead in our sins , following after dead rituals and useless gods created by our human hands and imaginations but he inducted us into a new realm of possibilities ,it was the transition from serving dead masters to worshipping a living God . Hallelujah.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 NIV

From this example, we notice what true love means, for it is the assurance of affection to an undeserving candidate. Love doesn’t give conditions, it is the condition. Thus his love meant promoting unworthy candidates from being outcasts to dining with Him.

The same love has been translated as mercy or grace because no one understood it. The special love wherein the benefactors do not have to do anything to be awarded association with Jesus Christ, but simply honor the new covenant and leave their past life of sin. The good news is that we are really important in the Kingdom of God, we have superior value in his sight.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬8 NIV

Our value is witnessed in that I AM THAT I AM sees his son Jesus Christ in us. Whenever we approach his throne instead of our sins speaking against our lives, the blood of Jesus speaks in our favor. True love forgives completely and doesn’t keep track of wrongdoings of the past. From the blood covenant, we were awarded a clean new start with God, long before we were born!! Amen

Under the same covenant Jesus Christ instructed us to love our neighbours!!.The same love he displayed to us he expects us to share with the whole world. True love is different from manipulation .Manipulation is rooted from selfishness ,it demands that you do certain things to be accepted, tolerated, or rewarded it normally functions with condemnation. It’s simple make someone feel useless, worthless, guilty, and want of certain attributes so they can do something for you as atonement.

To understand the love we need to look at what was displayed on the cross. The world is suffering today because we don’t understand the real essence of Love. We are in an era where divorces are rife, people marry for absolutely selfish reasons altogether it’s a shame. If you marry to gain something or marry for your ego sooner or later you are going to be frustrated with that marriage.

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 John 4:8 NIV

Love is a characteristic of a pure Christian it is undiluted by worldly philosophies. It is the same love that makes it relatively easy to intercede and pray for people who intentionally hurt us. People are hurting solely because they haven’t encountered pure love that comes from God. Human nature confesses love for selfish reasons, but the Christian mind loves for completely different reasons, by loving our enemies we are being obedient to this new covenant.

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
Luke 6:35 NIV .

Listen they will always be enemies or people opposing you, Jesus Christ faced intense opposition from people who represented the law, his biggest opposition came from his people. The very people who confessed to God with their mouths and were representatives of both God and the Mosaic covenant could not understand him for their ego had diluted the real essence of God’s love.

He truelly understood their problem ,he tried to enlighten them on the real meaning of the Mosaic covenant and the prophecies they confessed to know but obviously, their hearts were hardened. They perceived Jesus Christ as an enemy but he loved them anyway. We notice that he even interceded for them on the cross.

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Luke 23:34 KJV

Love is the main thing , the world needs love and it is our duty to share it with everyone . Love is the antidote the world really need right now besides if you think of it tribalism, xenophobia, wars, drug abuse, sexual immorality, greediness, envy, jealousy, and hatred problems are simply evidence of a world full of self-hate.

Men has lost his identity and love for himself it’s a pity .In this day and age where man is experimenting a lot with their sexuality, we can only be certain that the end is near. We are witnessing self-hatred at it’s elevated level, suicides , manslaughter is rampant in our society

Are you sharing the love of God with your neighbours? Are you taking time to share the love of God with your workmates .? Are you taking time to share this love with your family? Child of God when last did you share the love of God with your children?

The moment we leave our posts, the enemy takes over and spreads self-hatred and condemnation, we need to be vigilant. This is not the season to fold our hands and simply be spectators, we need to be involved in spreading the love of God to the world.

And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
2 John 1:6 NIV

Here is the thing we need to renew our mindset, for the worldly definition of love, happiness, and freedom is a sure way to a dead end. Our enemy satan is on the rampage distorting the truth. The real meaning of love has been distorted everywhere be it on television or social media. We see confusion and no one understands love anymore… for true love can only be found in Jesus Christ.

Love is not charity, even though charity can be a display of affection and pity to someone. Some have confused true love for charity, we need to have the love of God in our lives so that it can flow from us effortlessly. The worldly people give gifts as well to gain momentum and favor but we give out of love with no expectation for promotion or advantage over others.

If only we could understand this love of God, we won’t need validation from anyone. The love of God is enough motivation to succeed in life. God blesses the pure at heart and in whatever work they engage in, He ensures they prosper!! Amen

You are a valuable asset in God’s kingdom, he loves you so much that his kingdom dwells inside of you. The moment we decided to follow Jesus Christ he inhabited our bodies thus we became a new creation very capable of loving humanity the same way he loved humanity.

Whilst he was a Jew he became a sacrifice for Jews and non-Jews alike thus in our system there is no room for tribalism at all. Tribalism is simply a notion sponsored by greedy and power-hungry leaders to create divisions amongst people and in the process create a superiority complex in one group of individuals thereby making human weapons to push their agendas.. . It is these ideas that are still being capitalized by politicians to gain momentum.

This is the season for love to take over, we have been enslaved by hatred and false philosophies for a long time and this yoke of hatred has to be taken off our shoulders. It’s absurd to despise someone just because they were born in a different country, or simply because they speak a different language every one of us has a right to live on earth!!. This was an old tactic that was practiced by warlords of the olden days of creating hatred for other nations in their subordinates to generate toy soldiers for the poor people. Mainly poor people fought these battles and the rich gained from these battles so it’s just vanity of vanities.

8. Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

The old man and his mental programming need to be eradicated so the new covenant man can come to life. Old wine and new wine really can’t mix. There is only one practical way to redemption which is being born again. Being born again means coming to Christ as babies learning things afresh in his love, some have led people astray by trying to train people in the love of God whilst they still had the old mentality of hatred engraved in their brains and this is an error which must be corrected. Forget the former self so you can fully embrace the new you.

There is no shortcut in this warfare ,Jesus Christ is the only way so we need to be born again and start afresh just as the little babies .Lets grow in his love to fully understand ourselves and the world around us. .The same Jesus Christ who became an atonement for Americans is still the same Jesus Christ who is an atonement for Africans ,so if it is same Jesus Christ ,then he can’t consider others as superior and others nations as inferior that will only make the gospel a sham and a weapon for slave masters.

If all the nations are represented in Jesus Christ thus they mustn’t be any reason for squabbles or differences amongst nations unless the enemy has already penetrated the body of Christ. One body can’t fight against itself unless there is an exterior force involved. We need to be vigilant true ambassadors of Jesus Christ.

Now that we know the truth, there is no excuse for those still exercising the old man culture. By their fruits, you shall know them. For we know that God purely represents love, so anyone representing God should be full of love. So it is possible to have a transition from hatred to love. Yes since we all agree that we were mentally conditioned to hate, let’s agree today that we can love the exact people we were educated to hate.

The Bible clearly states that we must hate sin and not the sinner. It’s a matter of despising the way people handle their day-to-day lives and not hating them. This should be an opportunity to reach people who are still attached to the negative faith so we can train them in the truth we have come to understand.

If Jesus Christ considered complexion and culture honestly he wasn’t going to be crucified on the cross. A gospel meant to encourage hatred can only be practical to one group and be a complete nuisance to another group. So since the gospel of love is practical to every nation, it can only be practical for us to become one unit in the warfare against lucifer.

We are the light of this world, the light doesn’t waste its energy hating or despising the dark but it influences and repels darkness. The love of God must radiate from us. We are to reach the lost thus loving the unlovable is the only practical thing to do. Every person we meet in this life wants and deserves this love.

No longer a slave but a friend 🙏

Jesus, just days before the disciples would receive their greatest commission from Him-“Go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone” (Mark 16:15,NIV

Jesus established the working relationship He wanted with them. “I no longer call you servants … but friends,” He said in John 15:15 (NIV ).

To be effective as a Prayer Warrior you have to understand your relationship with him. Satan destroys people by making them doubt their relationship with Christ.It is your identity in Christ which you must protect , your body is the temple of God , so Christ dwells within you .

If Jesus Christ refers to anyone reaching the lost with the message of the Cross as a friend, that means we can approach him as a friend. If our earthly friends can sacrifice everything to help us, just imagine what Jesus Christ would do if we approach him with our petitions.

He loves us unconditionally, so soldier when you pray, he answers in your favor. It is his will for you and your family to live a healthy and prosperous life. Do not doubt in your heart/mind when you pray. With the knowledge that he is our friend, we know exactly phow he will respond to us before we approach him.

Approach him with confidence. His answer is always yes. He is always true to his promises.

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.-(2Corinthians 1:19-22 NKJV)
