“Forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.” Col 3:13 NIV
The misery of living with unforgiveness in your heart always lasts longer than the pain of the offense. Always! When you hold on to resentment, you open the door to depression and physical illness. Forgiving brings healing to your wounds and restores your joy.
Here are two steps to help you forgive:
(1) Remember that you have been unconditionally forgiven. Recall God’s grace toward you, and the price paid for your forgiveness. By refusing to show mercy, you’re like the man Jesus said was forgiven an enormous debt, yet was unwilling to forgive another man’s paltry indebtedness to him (See Mt 18:23-34). The grace God has extended to you leaves you no grounds whatsoever to refuse the same grace to the one who hurt you.
(2) Release the offender from the debt they owe you. You may be totally justified in saying, “They owe me for what they did!” Your friends may agree. The law may agree, and you may be thinking that the only way your offender will “learn to do what’s right” is if they’re made to pay for the wrong they did. But as long as you’re holding on to your “rights,” you’re chained to the past. It has you in its grip, and your future is being held hostage to the past’s control over you. Your offender’s sin against you was paid for by the same sacrificial love that canceled your sin debt, so they have the same need and right to forgiveness that you have. And there is more; forgiveness is not just for their benefit, but for yours:
“Forgive, and you will be forgiven” (Lk 6:37 NIV).
Who you are and to whom you belong affects everything else you do in this life from your social status , financial status and health status . We can’t choose our parents, skin complexion and places we are born but they are certain decisions we have to make . It is these decisions that really gives us the edge in life or keep us in poverty.
Every day we are faced with a lot of decisions some minor and others big, so in every decision, we make always consider the result of our actions (where we are going and what we want to achieve in life). Every action is carried from what we truly identify with.
This is no longer a season to sugarcoat the scriptures, we can’t afford to be on living on the fence anymore. Once you are born what’s left is to die consequently meeting the architect of the universe. Is humanity prepared for the day of Judgement??
“There are no unowned men. We are, every one of us, either ranked under the banner of Prince Immanuel, to serve Him and fight His battles, or else beneath the Black Prince, Satan—enrolled to do evil and to perish in our sins! It is a very proper question, then, to ask of every man and woman, ‘To whom do you belong?’”
We are inhabiting an era where multitudes are confused about their identity. Some have preferred to be homosexuals whilst some are very uncertain they don’t even comprehend whether they are male or female anymore. Lucifer is at work he is on a mission to destroy people, funny from our culture mankind identified each other by gender and the devil just had to confuse people on that one too.
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. I John 4:4-6 NKJV
The turmoil comes from the devil, it’s a pity many have plunged into this pit of an identity crisis. We are of God and as his ambassadors, we operate on different principles from worldly ideologies. Whilst public opinion says leave your marriage once you are not happy, we detest divorce because our Father in Heaven hates divorce! Most decisions prove the words you are listening to , whether you are investing time in the wisdom of God or worldly philosophies.
God loves everyone, but he expands some to positions of power whilst some suffer in deprivation and stagnation. One God serving good for those who love him and pursuing his principles yet not responding to his enemies. So this statement shows that one can be an enemy of God.It only makes sense to love God with all our hearts and minds.
Israelites were a chosen people, and for God to fulfil his promise to Abraham, the inhabitants of Canaan had to die. The Canaanites worshipped pagan gods or idols so on God’s agenda they were a hindrance to the Kingdom’s expansion. We see Moses instructing Israelites never to mix with them and follow after their gods.
and when the Lord your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them. Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son. For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other gods; so the anger of the Lord will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly. But thus you shall deal with them: you shall destroy their altars, and break down their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire. “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. Deuteronomy 7:2-6 NKJV
There is no room for compromising with the enemy, every altar erected for the pagan gods should be destroyed. Everyone in captivity by the enemy should be set free. Hell should be emptied we can’t negotiate biblical principles with the heathens. Poverty should be eradicated in our midst if we are to prosper as a church, thus anything linking us to a dependency mindset on other cultures for ideas and financial accumulation should be stopped.
It’s high time the church as a unit gets involved in changing our communities. We are the salt of the earth, the light of Jesus Christ in us can’t be hidden anymore in the name of religion. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not just some religion it is a way of life.
“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face. Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them. Deuteronomy 7:9-11 NKJV
If you love God, you honour his principles. Respecting a kingdom law will inevitably allow your extended life and freedom. Every Kingdom has a constitution hence to govern with dominion without condemnation we have to adopt Heavenly kingdom principles. The laws of every nation can show what the government of that nation is promoting. The laws God gave to Moses promoted love.Perfect love is the goal.
It is of utmost importance to check out your thoughts and habits with this checklist you will determine who is the brain of your life. Most patterns we embrace are rooted in the beliefs of our parents and communities. Thus to break the cycle of a common sin and a curse we need to change our mindset and adopt the word of God as a way of life.
Jesus is the way the truth and the life thus true wisdom can only be found in him. In him is the fullness of being. Perfect love casts away fear, to have perfect love we need Jesus Christ. With that wisdom, it is evident that fear only results from imperfect love. Identifying with Christ is the favorable decision for mankind today.
I want to encourage you the reader today, to give your life fully to Jesus Christ. In this transaction you will live your life with joy ,peace and harmony in the land of the living.
Please be kind and share this message with your friends and family members. Be a participant evangelist. I love you I feel honoured by your participation.
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalms 27:14 NIV
When we become impatient and react without thinking, we can do damage to ourselves and others. Sometimes when we pray and God doesn’t respond quickly enough, we decide to take matters into our own hands and things get worse as a result. When God tells you to wait, He is saying, “Trust me with the timing, the ways and means, and you will get a better result.”
David wrote: “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” (vv. 13-14 NKJV).
Stop and look back. How did the hasty and prayerless decisions you made in the past turn out?
It can be tough to wait on the Lord. It’s much easier in the heat of the moment to lose your calm. Stop and look back. How did the hasty and prayerless decisions you made in the past turn out? Do you think this situation will be different? Not a chance! What do you want? Temporary relief or a permanent solution? Haste makes waste!
When you act in haste, you do things you can end up regretting and having to apologize for. Or worse, justifying! Impulsiveness got King Saul into serious trouble. Instead of waiting for the prophet Samuel to arrive and the priests to offer a peace offering to God ensuring their victory over the Philistines, Saul grew impatient, usurped the role of a priest, and offered the sacrifice himself. When Samuel asked him why, he replied, “I felt compelled” (1Sa 13:12 NKJV). And the result? “Samuel said to Saul, ‘You have done foolishly…now your kingdom shall not continue’” (vv. 13-14 NKJV). So, wait on God.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him will not perish but have eternal life. Amen!
The objective of Jesus Christ on earth subsisted in bringing humanity to a fresh experience with God, the old way had failed thus he came to begin a new thing altogether. For a new system to come to force the old one had to be eradicated.
He came to fulfill what the Mosaic law failed to achieve since righteousness by works had proven to be difficult a new system of Grace had to be introduced. In place of being justified by works, a new system had to be introduced to mankind. God has loved mankind from the beginning of times we see that in his relationship with the Israelites how he loved and protected them.
He loved Israelites so much that whenever they followed after pagan gods, it infuriated him. How was this generation after all God had done for them, still they went after idols? A lasting antidote was needed to conserve people. Everyday people trespassed and sin ignited God to anger.
We were lost in sin, worshipping cows, monkeys, and trees so our land was cursed with infirmities. We were lost to the extent of idolizing kings, cultures, and worldly systems. Every society existed in an isolated world, different gods meant different rituals and customs. Confusion abounded and people became more wicked for whoever worshipped a different deity was a sworn enemy to a different tribe.
A new system had to come into force whereby the whole universe would worship one God. Worshipping one God meant unity, thus we became one body through the Christ. The cross reflected the unification of mankind to their creator. Our sworn enemy lucifer the father of lies and hatred was defeated on the cross, the cross became a new symbol of hope to mankind.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the Messiah), Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy), to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the favor of God abound greatly].” Then He rolled up the scroll [having stopped in the middle of the verse], gave it back to the attendant and sat down [to teach]; and the eyes of all those in the synagogue were [attentively] fixed on Him. He began speaking to them: “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing and in your presence.” Luke 4:18-21 AMP
Jesus Christ was sent to set us free from slavery. Yes, it is possible to quit alcohol and smoking, all it takes is a new birth in Christ. Nothing is impossible the gospel of Christ can change the poor and make them rich. The reason for failure is ignorance, our sworn enemy has kept people in poverty and darkness for a long time. This is the season to advance and claim what we deserve.
Why would you live your life chasing after vanity, the world has nothing to offer. Worldly fashions and beliefs are completely a trap to keep us in cognitive slavery. Adultery destroys the very essence and integrity of any marriage, shun worldly advice of experimenting with sex. God designed you to make progress thus anything wasting your time and life is a weapon of the devil.
These are the times humanity more than ever needs to give their lives to Jesus Christ. We are only stronger in Christ. The world and its ideologies have offered us nothing but merely arguments and confusion. We can’t afford to live in this darkness anymore, only Jesus Christ can offer us the light. God has never changed and his words never changed, scientists are now turning to the Bible for solutions.
It only provokes sense for us as individuals to lament our old ways and be immersed in the kingdom of God. You still have an opportunity today to submit your spirit to Christ it’s not excessively late. You have searched after the happiness the world proposed but it only got you sick, frustrated, and disappointed, why not try Jesus Christ today.
What really is freedom ? Are we ever free ? I have been asking myself this question for some time now.The word freedom comes from the word freo which simply mean a situation where you are not in bondage to something or someone or /in possession of particular privileges.
With that in mind being in bondage is simply a state of not getting any particular privileges. This is a difficult case , some spend years as Christians but still not getting privileges of good health. If you have a chronic problem you are now identifying with chances are you are under attack.
The privileges we have in Christ are love ,health ,riches and so forth. Being in Christ washes away all condemnation thus we no longer live in guilty. Being in Christ also means we can approach the throne of Grace with confidence without no fear at all for Jesus Christ is our advocate.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9 NIV
Most people live their life in bondage ,their mind has become accustomed to a slavery mentality , even after the yoke of slavery has been removed from their necks they can’t move from the place they were enslaved. Their mind has been programmed to taking orders from their masters ,they have lost faith in themselves and in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
God created man for dominion , He equipped man with management skills on creation .Adam was given the garden of Eden to manage .Adam was given the power to name things as his mind perceived them . Whatever he saw in an animal he would name it as such. From the outlook he separated wild animals and domestic animals. He named trees ,infact he named everything he saw , including a woman.
With all that freedom ,God only gave him one law or / condition , not to eat from the tree of life. Funny he chose to obey his wife disregarding the owner of the garden. Of course we know that snake gave them ideas ,and Eve she saw that the fruit was good for food ,but Adam ate too ,whether to please his woman to just experiment with disobedience we are not sure.
Adam sacrificed his relationship with God in trying to please his woman. The funny part about this story is that while Eve was busy discussing God’s ordinances with the devil Adam wasn’t around. The devil won Eve’s mind first and Eve simply convinced Adam …
It’s basically a tricky situation the one in charge of the garden was nowhere to be found , and Eve was just wondering around the garden alone when the snake saw an opportunity to destroy humanity.
God gave Adam the responsibility of the garden and he told him the do’s and don’ts so he was to train wife and kids about the dangers of eating fruits from that tree … but did Adam teach Eve at all?
They had freedom (possession of privileges) as long as they adhered to the rules stipulated for the Eden experience. Thus their freedom was dependent on Adam playing his part in educating his family about the importance of obeying only that single law (command).
But Adam was hibernating while Eve was going around Eden without any understanding of the importance of that law. Without a full understanding of any law , we are bound to err in judgement. Rules of the land if not properly explained ,are useless to our families.
For freedom to exist Adam had to be a priest in his family .God designed a man to be fully responsible for teaching his generation about God’s ordinances. Once man move from this responsibility the whole generation is destroyed.
We are facing the same problem in our society , our men are busy indulging in worldly pleasures and at the same time exposing their families to satan’s agenda . Whilst our man are getting intoxicated with alcohol and drugs our children are adopting homosexual tendencies from the television.
Whilst our men are occupying themselves with sports and entertainment who is grooming the kids for kingdom purposes . Our kids start drinking and smoking at a younger age and parents can’t notice anything because they are too absorbed in vanity.
