What are you hiding behind?

So Samuel brought near all the tribes of Israel and the tribe of Benjamin was taken. Then he brought near the tribe of Benjamin by its families. And the family of Matri was chosen. Then Saul the son of Kish was taken. But when they sought him, he could not be found. Therefore they inquired again of the Lord, “Has the man come here yet?” And the Lord answered, “He has hidden himself among the equipment.” So they ran and took him from there. When he stood among the people, he was taller than any of the people from his shoulders and upward. Then Samuel said to all the people, “Do you see him whom the Lord has chosen? Truly there is none like him among all the people.” And all the people shouted and said, “Long live the king.”
1 Samuel 10:20‭-‬24 MEV

When Samuel went to present Israel’s first king to the people, Saul was discovered “hiding among the baggage.” The Hebrew word for baggage symbolizes the self-imposed limitations that hinder you from tackling the job God appointed you to do.

Things like these: (1) Feelings of inadequacy. Saul’s first reaction when he learned he had been chosen as king was, “Am I not…from the smallest tribe of Israel…the least of all?” (1Sa 9:21 NIV).

When you fail to figure God into the equation, you will always feel “less than.” Instead of focusing on your weaknesses and inabilities, concentrate on “the incredible greatness of God’s power” (Eph 1:19 NLT). Choose today to see beyond your inabilities, and see the influence God has on your life. We always tend to get what we focus on, so it’s foolish to concentrate on our weaknesses.

(2) Fear of what others might think. The writer of Proverbs tells us “fearing people is a dangerous trap” (Pr 29:25 NLT). And Saul fell into it headfirst! When Samuel confronted him for failing to obliterate the Amalekites, he replied, “I was afraid of the people and did what they demanded” (1Sa 15:24 NLT).

God’s Word assures us, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. So…we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper…I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Heb 13:5-6). Once you take hold of that truth and act on it, you will find there is nothing to be afraid of. We live according to the word , the word dwells inside of us .The word is guaranteed in our existence since we are a breathing reflection of the word of God to the nations.

(3) Being overly pragmatic. The Bible says, “A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways” (Jas 1:8). And Saul fit the bill to a tee! When he didn’t hear from God, he took matters into his own hands and consulted a spiritualist. And after vowing not to victimize David, he repeatedly hunted him down. Adaptability is commendable, but God requires consistency and commitment.

The minute you begin looking at yourself in the manner God recognizes you, your stamina changes for the better. Stop hiding behind baggage and self-condemnation, in his eyes Jesus Christ has washed you clean. This is the season to formulate aggressive moves towards your destiny.

We have been hiding for far too long, enough is enough. In this era, we will take over, no sickness will stop us. Know who you are

Worry is a disease , with devastating effects. Most problems we have in the world stem from the doubts people have be it in their government , their spouses , their parents ,the religious institutions , Pastors and so forth…

People trust less ,well it could be for a good cause for it is in human nature to avoid pain at all costs but we are instructed to trust in the Lord at all times. Believe in the integrity of the gospel ,the truth in the Bible will set you free.

Wisdom attained is only beneficial if applied to real life situations. The Bible is a guideline of how we are to live our lives here on Earth. We are representatives of the kingdom of God ,so God really honours our existence ,and in us he is glorified.

He takes pleasure in blessing us and healing us from any form of sickness or infirmity. He gave us authority in his son Jesus Christ to cast out demons. In him we are co heirs in the kingdom of God thus refreshing isn’t it ..

Once you understand what you represent , and also the army fighting on your behalf I guess you will live differently right ……(For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
Psalms 91:11‭-‬14 NIV)

We are on a mission , that is to spread the word of God to all nations ,each and everyday with your capacity we need to be spreading the word of God .Let everyone know of this great love of God to us. Thus with that freedom do not be inequality yoked to the unbelievers .

Stop comparing your life to other people , glorify God in every situation .Comparing self with other people only leads to envy and dissatisfaction this blinding us from what God is really doing in this season for his followers.

Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord , and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord , And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord , Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord , and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret— it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord , They shall inherit the earth.
Psalms 37:1‭-‬9 NKJV

Let’s be content with our Creator and his capacity to bless and help us… Take a moment today and thank God for blessing you beyond measure. Let’s thank God for revealing deep secrets to us which are hidden to the heathens.

He saw it fit that we represent his Kingdom agenda here on earth … Hallelujah

Fewer sex partners means a happier marriage

People who have had sex with fewer people seem to be more satisfied after they tie the knot. Is there hope for promiscuous romantics? Is there hope at all ? Studies have revealed that people tend to compare their current spouse to their exes so is it wise to engage in fornication at all, knowing […]

Truthful at all times

If you are called to testify about something you have seen or that you know about, it is sinful to refuse to testify, and you will be punished for your sin. “Or suppose you unknowingly touch something that makes a person unclean. When you realize what you have done, you must admit your guilt. “Or suppose you make a foolish vow of any kind, whether its purpose is for good or for bad. When you realize its foolishness, you must admit your guilt. “When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin.
Leviticus 5:1‭, ‬3‭-‬5 NLT

But sanctify the Lord God

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
I Peter 3:15 NKJV

sanctify [v. a.]:

P 1. Make holy, cleanse from sin.
2. Consecrate, hallow, purify.
3. Sanction, justify, ratify.

I am always emphasizing the importance of words we use ,pure transformation starts with a change of vocabulary . Your perspective of God should change first ,you can’t have a fulfilling relationship with God you don’t understand ,seek to understand him in the Bible his personality doesn’t change from the beginning of time in the days of Adam to date he has been consistent with his character.

He changes not ,but we due to fear and misconceptions we end up viewing him as a personality bend on punishing evil doers, Adam hid himself after commiting sin ,he didn’t understand that he is a forgiving God too.Adam did not beg for forgiveness instead he blamed Eve ,and Eve blamed the snake. How many times have you blamed other people or circumstances for your actions instead of taking full responsibility??

It is your responsibility to sanctify God in your heart but how you might ask ,by the confession of your mouth. Your tongue and your mind ,must be under control .

“Teach me, and I will hold my tongue; Cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
Job 6:24 NKJV

My tongue shall speak of Your word, For all Your commandments are righteousness.
Psalms 119:172 NKJV

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 NKJV

God is omnipotent ,he provides our every need . I call him God of restoration whatever you might have lost ,he is preparing something better. He has favoured me ,at one stage I lost everything but he restored my identity.

The best decision I made with my life was to give my life to Jesus Christ ,man it was worth it .My life has been restored.

He gives wisdom to the meek,God who gives identity to the lowly in society , God who gives hope to the hopeless.Jesus washed me clean from all the infirmity .I am glad to be identified with Christ.

God loves you .

Amen
