Man after God’s heart vs popular with people

Welcome back again to my blog it’s always a pleasure to share this message concerning our true identity in Christ. It is because of this message that we have meaning in life, for life is basically measured by how much God loves you , God’s love determines our attitude in life .

We don’t preach the feel good message , or bring motivational quotes but this message is real for Jesus Christ is alive ,he is changing lives today the lame are walking and the sick are being healed because of this message.” For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” we are drinking from this living waters that quenches thirst like nothing else .

Life giving waters ,that breaks yokes and any form of slavery ,we are free from the slavish mentality for our being is not determined by man but by God himself , He himself vowed to establish us ,our foundation is unshaken ,we live everyday witnessing his miracles ,he raised us from the mud ,from the yokes of adultery , homosexuality and drug abuse he picked us up and chose us to represent him .I am privileged to be identified with Christ Jesus Amen.

Today I am going to share about David a nobody God raised for the occasion ,A son of Jesse who had no qualities of a leader in his father’s eyes but God had a different view of him .What people think and see in you should not determine your destiny ,God sees us differently , You are not to be scared of the arrows that flies by day or night for He is your refuge Hallelujah.

We see here Samuel telling King Saul sad news indeed ,that his kingdom had come to an end ,King Saul was in a position of authority ,he had people worshipping him , but he had just disobeyed God to please people ,King Saul had been given a Victory with God but has been instructed on what to do after the victory but because of people he went overboard. Disobedience is always punished in the Bible , especially when you disobey an instruction to please people or because you think you have experience . God wants his people to fully depend on him ,the time you decide you can take certain actions , against God’s wishes because it suits you ,you get punished. Moses was punished ,he did not take Israelites to Canaan because of disobedience. We continually see God’s stance on disobedience ,he hates the proud

To be a man after God’s heart we need to do his will , God is seeking for the obedient to his will. In this crazy times whereby human consensus is the order of the day ,He still demands obedience. The world need to hear the truth , Homosexuality is still a sin , fornication and adultery still a sin but how many are indulging in such acts .On the news we hear of Pastors who are gays and you wonder from which Bible they are preaching from.

Me and you we have a big role to play ,the world is hungry for the undiluted word of God , motivational speeches are not helping the reason people are indulging in self destructive habits yet they are Christians is simply because their hearts are not reformed by the truth about God.

Pure preaching brings repentance , conviction of sin ,If our preaching is not leading people to pure repentance then we are leading them to hell .Churches are becoming popular marketplaces for annointing oils ,books ,mantles ,annointing waters and Annointed t shirts Jesus never preached such a gospel .Never seen where it was written that Jesus said if you buy my handkerchief you will get healed or protected from the evil spirits. His aim was to make disciples who knew God .

I am always emphasizing that God values relationships ,he loves making covenants with his creation .We all have contracts of some sort ,He loves bargaining with his creation ,Samson was told not to shave his hair or drink strong drinks Abram told to sacrifice son . Wisdom is power God is calling you today for your own personal covenant ,but are you ready???

Stop sending people to hell by being unfaithful with the word of God ,are you a people pleaser or a Man after God’s own heart. You need to decide whether you are going to be a slave to popularity or whether God will boast about you . God boasted to Satan about Job ,Job lost everything but he maintained his identity in God.

An unwavering identity in Christ is a must to us who are witnesses of God to the world , God is still God whether you are sick or healthy ,he is still the same whether you are rich or poor ,he is the same who was before you were born ,and is still the same today .He never changes but are you consistent ? Are you consistent in your prayer times Prayer obedience to Christ , thus every day it must become a habit to Pray .

You need to repent today choose God ,choose Wisdom never let anything ,be it work ,family , relationship take a bigger priority than doing God’s will. God’s will first and yours after . Repent for why must you hold grudges ,don’t you see yourself in the person you hate . At times bad things happen in our lives to bring us to our knees so we have time to enquire from God .

We notice in the book of Prophet Hosea he was instrumental to marry a harlot , every time he would cry concerning the woman God would tell him that Israelites were doing the very same thing to him ,so he was supposed to call Israelites to repent. Don’t fit in but take your life as a stage set for you to bring people to repentance.

What Saul failed to do due to his need to impress people ,David did because David feared God . David’s fear of God was his strength .The book of proverbs says that “The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom”

Honour God with all your heart , he protects his own.

Welcome back it’s always a pleasure discussing the Bible with fellow believers especially discussing the possibility of changing the world for Christ by focusing on his words and the challenges he was facing in conveying his message.

Men’s approval or God’s approval , popular consensus or a life focused on to the purpose at hand . Jesus also faced this challenge famous religious people of his age (Pharisees and Sadducees) operated on a level of human consensus ,they represented the law thus their popularity was based on mainly popular beliefs ,Jesus once referred to them as a people who were mainly focused on the cleanliness of the outer vessel instead of being clean from inside.

Their righteousness was mainly for man’s approval ,the kind you see acting holy at church gatherings whereas they really don’t have a relationship with God. Their righteousness was mainly a tool to use to control others and not a way to bring people to God. They focused on cleaning society , finding blame and authorising stoning of whoever was tainting or blemishing the temple .

To them they were in authority over people instead of God being in authority over his people.They would sit on higher tables where everyone would notice them and would dress in a kinda way to be noticed .But because of the respect they received it was now a rat race for positions and authority amongst the Jews as much as they were representatives of the Kingdom of God they did not possess the right mentality and approach to bring people to God but only allegiance to them ,it was now about them . You had to do things inline with their professionalism or you would be rejected. To them they were professionals who knew God and laws better than others.

The kingdom of God to them was a stage whereby they had to acti in a certain way , professing your faith in a certain way but their religious antics could not change the internal man ,which God wanted .For God want your inner man and not outer vessel.

The Bible went on to say that The kingdom of God is in you that’s the inner man ,their righteousness was by works .To these men you could work your way to righteousness. So Jesus Christ was teaching them the simple truth , to be effective they had to hear from God .God is the source he dictates how he wants things done and Jesus is a vessel for God’s purpose on Earth .

In contrast to their approach they studied the Mosaic Law ,and they were professionals in the Mosaic law thus they commanded respect on everyone with their education . With their education they were not effective in bringing lost souls to God. In truth when we preach sinners must be brought to repentance by conviction of sin in their heart ,true repentance brings with it confession of sin from the heart ,unlike doing things out of fear. Their approach was not effective in bringing true repentance .

It was relatively easy to be popular with them ,follow the crowd . Whenever discipleship focuses on positions ,next to follow is rivalry and competitive spirit among brethren which results in backbiting , envy , false witnesses and scheming the downfall of fellow brothers , because now the church has lost value the main focus is recognition and power. The effective ministry knows and understands that we are serving God,we don’t do things for human promotion or recommendation the focus is on God not the people.

Jesus once said ” I am the Son of Man” ,he was shying away from his ministry being misunderstood .He once asked his disciples who people thought he was the answers he received were shocking ,some assumed he was Prophet Elijah ,at one stage people assumed he was going to free them from Romans .

It is in human nature to promote you before they can submit to you ,that’s why he always focused people’s attention to God and not to him . He only regarded himself as the way to God.A way ,truth and the life for true living is only possible in God.

Greater that is in me that who is in the world ,a declaration of authority of the one who send him.The church belong to God and we are the body of Jesus Christ so we are to bring people of all nations to the body of Christ thus every one of us has a duty to bring at least one person to Christ .We gained sonship through Jesus Christ ,he died on the cross to mend our relationship with God .By his blood we received atonement so we are clothed for a purpose the world needs to learn of God’s grace and love .Our Father loved us so much that he decided to send his only begotten son to be an atonement for our sins.

Even though I am free of the demands and expectations of everyone, I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach a wide range of people: religious, nonreligious, meticulous moralists, loose-living immoralists, the defeated, the demoralized—whoever. I didn’t take on their way of life. I kept my bearings in Christ—but I entered their world and tried to experience things from their point of view. I’ve become just about every sort of servant there is in my attempts to lead those I meet into a God-saved life. I did all this because of the Message. I didn’t just want to talk about it; I wanted to be in on it! You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally. I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. Approval of man is a trap you need to avoid . The urge to fit in the hierarchy of important people and turning the faith to professionalism is wrong. Seeking honour from men that derail us from the main purpose of the gospel

Honour from men promises liberty but the end result is bondage as much as church doctrine , myths and human wisdom tries to bring about separation from certain people and beliefs the bottom line is it brings bondage , For a doctrine to be effective there must be a Pharisee in the system representing that line of belief and sending people out of the church who fail to follow the rules .,but is that the purpose of the gospel ? The purpose of this message is to bring everyone to Christ !!!!

I am not against church discipline but church discipline is to restore not to destroy , of course sin has to be rebuked but the Bible says do not condemn ,do not be a stumbling block to your brother correction should be done with love FORGIVE, FORGIVE , FORGIVE!!! Grace with truth.

Instead of an eye for an eye Forgive .

In strict logic, then, nothing happened to the meat when it was offered up to an idol. It’s just like any other meat. I know that, and you know that. But knowing isn’t everything. If it becomes everything, some people end up as know-it-alls who treat others as know-nothings. Real knowledge isn’t that insensitive. We need to be sensitive to the fact that we’re not all at the same level of understanding in this. Some of you have spent your entire lives eating “idol meat,” and are sure that there’s something bad in the meat that then becomes something bad inside of you. An imagination and conscience shaped under those conditions isn’t going to change overnight. But fortunately God doesn’t grade us on our diet. We’re neither commended when we clean our plate nor reprimanded when we just can’t stomach it. But God does care when you use your freedom carelessly in a way that leads a fellow believer still vulnerable to those old associations to be thrown off track. For instance, say you flaunt your freedom by going to a banquet thrown in honor of idols, where the main course is meat sacrificed to idols. Isn’t there great danger if someone still struggling over this issue, someone who looks up to you as knowledgeable and mature, sees you go into that banquet? The danger is that he will become terribly confused—maybe even to the point of getting mixed up himself in what his conscience tells him is wrong. Christ gave up his life for that person. Wouldn’t you at least be willing to give up going to dinner for him—because, as you say, it doesn’t really make any difference? But it does make a difference if you hurt your friend terribly, risking his eternal ruin! When you hurt your friend, you hurt Christ. A free meal here and there isn’t worth it at the cost of even one of these “weak ones.” So, never go to these idol-tainted meals if there’s any chance it will trip up one of your brothers or sisters.

Shalom I have more to share so I will do so on my next post ,so in conclusion let’s build the body of Christ instead of destroying it by acting like Pharisees the know it all human seeking approvals , let’s stay focused on the target that to preach the word to the ends of the world.

Call to discipleship

Welcome back it’s been a while since I last posted anything on this page but today I felt the urge for us to discuss on this topic.

Jesus here is being judged obviously by the Pharisees for eating and dining with sinners ,this type of group you always find them in the church they always find fault at anything new or anything they don’t approve. We notice here that Pharisees and Sadducees were the law ,they represented the Mosaic law ,whatsover they didn’t approve would lead to punishment.

In the church doctrine ,has led us to have such people in our midst they have studied and mastered church doctrine but have forgotten that Jesus gave us one instruction to make disciples all over the world ,that’s the main goal of every Christian to make disciples . Making disciples is the goal and teaching them what Christ taught us.

If every one of us would bring one soul to Christ that would please the Lord .,but people are so bend on proving each other wrong that the church on its own is pushing people back into the world . I am not against doctrine but I believe that once we stick to the main goal of making disciples all over the world some problems we are facing will end.

One of my favourite pastor once said that we are living in an era whereby Christians are moving from church to church ,there are confused , instead of sinners coming to Christ leaving the world , believers in church A are leaving their church to join church B ,which brings us back to our main goal Are we being effective at the task Jesus left us.????

It’s now a common site for Pastor A to use his pulpit telling the world that Pastor B is leading them to hell ,in actual sense he is telling congregants in Pastor B’s church to join his church if they want to go to heaven . Pharisees were in a dilemma Jesus was gaining momentum and had many followers ,Pharisees were loosing ground so to maintain their authority they wanted to prove to everyone that Jesus was doing things wrong .Their approach was to question him in public ,now you see ,they always questioned him in public so that he would loose followers or so that the masses would stone him to death. I am sure this approach you have noticed it also where you come from .

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you. For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ: Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men’s labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly, To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand. But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

The world need to know about Christ not people ,The aim is to glorify God not humans when you preach you are making disciples for God and not for yourself . The Pharisees mentality it strives to get the attention to self and not to God . Glory belong to God and Jesus Christ the only way to God. We are witnesses to God’s love we confess what we have witnessed for once we were worshipping dead things ,we were slaves to things fashioned by men , we were slaves to superstitions ,we were worshipping the sun and moon but now we are saved from that bondage. For JESUS’S blood cleansed us , he created a new heart in us .Jesus deserves all the glory ,we are bodies used for his purpose and he takes pride in working through us not because we deserve it NO because of his righteousness .God sees Jesus’s righteousness in us and he worked his miracles through us.We are so privileged.

And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

Jesus once was accused of using evil spirits to cast out demons , isn’t it funny history always repeats itself ,how many times have u heard pastors accusing other pastors of using evil powers from the devil.

Child of God let’s remain focused on our purpose to preach the word of God to the ends of the Earth… Paul’s approach was different to Peter’s ministry , until Peter recieved that revelation One body different functions . Whatever you do let it be to glorify God .
