You belong to the light

You are not subject to the power of darkness.

In the Gospel of John 3:20, Jesus says, “For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”

From the beginning of Creation, God separated Light and Darkness. “And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.” (Genesis 1:4). Because these two things had already been separated by God, they cannot coexist and are incompatible but God has placed Light over darkness, in the book of John 1:5, it says “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”

Light and Darkness in the Bible are often used as metaphors to signify the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Darkness, righteousness and evil or Good and Evil. In the book of Ephesians 5:11 it says “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” In this verse, the works of darkness refer to evil deeds. The Word of God is showing us that light and darkness do not mix and are enemies.

What I want you to know, child of God, is that if God has made you Light and you live and act in righteousness, those who are on the side of darkness will rise against you. In this era of confusion, it’s okay to be different. Seek holiness.

If God has made you Light in your family, lineage, or community, or in the place where you work, you carry the destiny of the redemption of your family. The kingdom of darkness ruling over your family or place of influence will rise against you.

So, don’t be surprised when people hate and rise against you; it’s a spiritual battle. Because you carry something that disrupts their plans.

The good news I bring you today is that even though they rise against you and hate you, they will not prevail! The word of God says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” (John 1:5). Also, the word of God says, “You shall establish yourself in righteousness; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Indeed, they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, says the LORD.” (Isaiah 54:14-15, 17 NKJV)

So, child of God, there is special protection placed upon you by God, it will shield you from all the evils intended by your enemies. Amen.

Prayer: Thank you Jesus for making me a light in this world, I pray that you make me steadfast in faith, in all challenges, and let my light never dim. Amen

True enlightenment

Luke 23:45
[45]And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

Life can often feel like a battlefield, with both apparent and hidden enemies fighting against you for unclear reasons. Nonetheless, it is important to remember that victory is always within reach, no matter how great the challenges we face may seem. Success is simply a matter of overcoming these challenges and achieving a positive outcome inspite of terrifying opposition.

Problems or challenges are a necessity for growth. Growth is winning against pressing limitations. The bigger the limitation the bigger the testimony when overcome. The scripture I pasted above is taken from a story of Jesus’ death when the veil was torn from top to bottom which is very significant in our Christian walk.

In ancient times, a veil was used to cover the Holy of Holies in the temple. This was a sacred place that only the High Priest could access. To ensure his safety, a bell would ring to signal that he was still alive. Furthermore, it was believed that only those who were pure and clean could enter this sacred place. Holiness was and still is a must to have an encounter with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy of Holies was a highly revered place where the High Priest acted as an intermediary between God and the Jewish people. By offering sacrifices, the priest facilitated communication between God and the Israelites. It serves as a reminder that we can also connect with the divine directly through prayer. Prayer connects you to the divine source of everything.

Throughout ancient religions, we can observe a recurring pattern showing that human beings have always craved security for the future. A life without any guarantee of a future feels like being imprisoned. When the future is uncertain, the present loses its meaning. Hope for the future is what motivates people to strive for more. Your attitude towards life is largely determined by where you place your hopes. It is always imperative to place your hopes in God.

The Hope of Israelites lay solely on the High Priest, the sacrificial lambs had to be accepted. The High Priest connected them to God. From sin offerings, the first fruit offering the High Priests had to be involved. Jesus Christ became our High Priest and then he encouraged us to intercede for people around us. We are the high priests in our communities, messengers of God to this generation. As God is light, thus we are to reflect the glory of God in these trying times.

At Golgotha, the veil that separated the Holy of Holies, from the masses was torn apart. This revealed what was hidden behind the veil to everyone. The veil was a symbol of limitation, and only those who had the authority to go beyond it and communicate with God were allowed access. To protect the veil and the mysteries it contained, systems were put in place to keep it hidden from the general populace and instil fear in those who even thought of touching it. The veil was a no-go area for most people. Only the righteous and those who followed the law had the privilege of accessing this wonder.

It was a mystery how people communicated with the almighty beyond the veil. The only information we had access to, was what the High Priest would tell us. Consequently, people were required to follow the High Priest’s orders without question. The High Priest’s words were likened to a law and everyone had to abide for the growth and security of the nation. Similarly, in these times, those who can hear God’s voice have an advantage in life. God communicates with those who approach him in the right way. The moment you nurture your communication with God, you become a man or a woman of influence.

In him there is light, and everyone who knows God can attest to this light. The light of God can’t be hidden.. after Prophet Moses had spent 40 days and nights on the mountains in a private meeting with the Almighty his face was glowing this light, and his peers could not understand the light that was glowing on Moses.

The veil was a significant obstacle for those who did not have access to the Holy of Holies. It limited the imagination of spectators and even the prayer life of believers. If you are still waiting for someone to approach God on your behalf, it can harm your faith. The veil made the population rely more on the High Priest, Sadducees, and Pharisees instead of honouring God. It fostered a dependent spirit on human perfection, enabling Sadducees and Pharisees to claim righteousness through works, and everyone could buy the idea because they had access to this veil.

The veil promoted laziness… a despondency spirit. (Why bother, when you could beg the High Priest to inquire for you) .This system encouraged corruption, the rich could bribe people with the cloth, to bless or curse anyone… A corrupt priest could claim that God said something to steal from the poor… By building a hedge around the wisdom of communicating with God, they created a demand for their service to the masses.

Living a life full of understanding and wisdom is akin to walking in the light. Seeking wisdom is encouraged in the Bible and helps us navigate through life’s challenges. Ignorance can often lead to unpleasant consequences, and the devil tries to keep people in the dark. The more we know, the less vulnerable we become to the challenges of this world. Walking in the light brings real freedom and clarity to our lives. It allows us to make informed decisions and repels guesswork. On the contrary, stumbling in the dark can be slow and confusing, causing us to lose sight of our goals.

I pray that every veil limiting our nations is removed so we can be prosperous in everything we do. Jesus on the cross, when that veil was torn open… that means a new way of life was introduced to those who believe. New life, rebirth and better vision. A whole new world was introduced and Jews could not fathom this thus due to a dependency spirit they still chose the old way.

In the past, people used to experience fear due to certain beliefs. However, it is important to overcome this fear and strive for success in life. Jesus Christ showed us the way to do this by breaking apart that veil and demonstrating that he is the ultimate truth and the source of life. By focusing on Jesus Christ alone, anyone who comes in his name can be considered sent from above. To benefit from his teachings, it is essential to keep our focus on Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ was an exceptional and inspirational figure who courageously stood up against the oppressive authorities of his time, particularly the Pharisees and Sadducees. His teachings and message still inspire us today, urging us to challenge conventional beliefs and strive for truth and fairness in every aspect of our lives. The fact that Jesus existed serves as a powerful reminder that we should always aim to be more empathetic, kind, and fair to ourselves and others.

Living in the light of Jesus Christ means confidently embracing the Supreme wisdom of the creative power of God. It involves embodying the personality of the Godhead, which enables you to dominate and create a harmonious environment under God’s will.

May you find alignment with the incredible power that lies within the unity of yourself and Jesus Christ. Through the unbreakable bond with our Saviour Jesus Christ, I pray that any limitations holding you back are removed, and you are set free from bondage. Amen.

You will rise again

YOU WILL RISE AGAIN

I know you’re so bothered about your sudden downfall, in business, career and ministry. Your marriage might not be working right now. You could be considering quitting or cheating on your spouse because suddenly nothing is moving the way you anticipated Jesus Christ

But you will rise again

What you have to understand is that the downfall of a man is not his end. Pruning is a necessity for growth and when God disciplines his children it is to open their eyes to their full potential without depending on external factors to boost their identity.

And how you started a journey doesn’t matter much, but how it will end that matters as long as you still have life, there is still hope for you to rise again. We all have made mistakes in our lives, some minor and some life-changing. You could be paying for a sexual sin you committed a long time ago because you contracted an STD or maybe you now have a fatherless baby. But it’s not over

Jesus told the lame man rise take up thy bed and walk(John 5:1-11)

Some of your sickness has brought you down entirely. You could be in chains right now from a chronic disease listen it’s not over yet. Jesus Christ promised healing to us wherever you are right now I know God is healing you right now from whatever sickness that had been paralysing you.

But you will rise again

Some of your family problems have brought you down entirely. Yes as much as everyone had deserted you, God is our strength. We stand up tall and confront any challenging situation that might come our way, with that confidence. Every inherited problem is cancelled in the name of JESUS Christ.

But you will rise again

Some of you the death of your loved ones, have brought you down entirely. but we know God promised them a better place in him. We loved them, but we can’t see them anymore but our confidence in Christ communicates peace and freedom for them. They that live in Christ live forever!

But You will rise again

If the dry bone were able to rise again (Ezekiel 37)

You will rise again

Tell your mockers that its not over yet

Tell your enemies that its not over yet

Tell them

Because you’re about to rise above sickness, poverty, limitations and sorrow

Arise shine for thy light is come and the glory of the lord is risen upon thee(Isaiah 60:1)

And it crumbled down

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:2‭-‬5‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[2] Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. [3] And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. [4] God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. [5] God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

And God said let there be light and it was so.

The light became introduced because darkness abounded. Darkness ruled and in its rule the earth was formless and void . Darkness made null any possibilities of freedom and survival. Darkness could translate as imprisonment to God’s ultimate plan of introducing his image to dominate and manage his creation.

If you have been imprisoned before or been in a jail cell before I am sure you can relate to the loneliness and confusion that place brings on an individual. Being in that place on its own can be likened to travelling in a dark road leading to nowhere and with no potential of escaping that maze.

Dark; Darkness
dark , dark´nes ( חשׁך , ḥōshekh ; σκότος , skótos ):

1. Darkness and Light in Palestine

The day and night, light and darkness, are notable antitheses in Palestine. There the day does not slowly fade away into the night after a period of twilight, but before sunset there is the brightness of day, and when the sun has disappeared everything has changed and night is at hand. From sunset until the darkness of night is less than an hour.

2. Symbolic Uses

In the Bible the main use of darkness is in contrast to light. Light is the symbol of God’s purity, wisdom and glory. Darkness is the opposite. Miraculous occurrence of darkness in the land of Egypt for three days is recorded in Exodus 10:21 , Exodus 10:22 , and at the death of Christ (Matthew 27:45 ). See PLAGUES; ECLIPSE .

The figurative uses of darkness are many and various. It is used as a symbol ( a ) of moral depravity and its punishment. The wicked walk and work in darkness (Psalms 82:5; Proverbs 2:13; John 3:19; Romans 13:12 ), and their reward is to “sit in darkness” (Psalms 107:10 ) or to be “cast forth into the outer darkness” (Matthew 8:12 ); (b ) of things mysterious or inexplicable (1 Kings 8:12; Psalms 97:2 ); (c ) of trouble and affliction (2 Samuel 22:29; Job 5:14; Proverbs 20:20; Isaiah 9:2; compare Genesis 15:12 ); (d ) of punishment (Lamentations 3:2; Ezekiel 32:8; Zephaniah 1:15 ); (e ) of death (1 Samuel 2:9; Job 10:21 f; Ecclesiastes 11:8 ); (f ) of nothingness (Job 3:4-6 ); (g ) of human ignorance (Job 19:8; 1 John 2:11 ).

“A dark (the Revised Version, margin “squalid”) place” (2 Peter 1:19 ) refers especially to the state of things described in 2 Pet 2.

Bible dictionary

“Before we were enslaved by the darkness system, most of our decisions were made due to our ignorance of the laws governing the light. Those who follow the path of darkness often engage in harmful activities in pursuit of happiness and normally defend their habits despite the harm they cause. This constant chase for happiness has led them to various forms of slavery, to the point where they no longer recognize their true potential.”.

God saw that as long as darkness ruled, his image (me and you) would never know true freedom. As long as you let the world’s antics and fashions dictate your decision-making process, you are enslaved in this cobweb and you need deliverance. Yes you need to be born afresh in the word of God, God can never use you in that condition what you need is a pure transformation, unlearn old habits and let the Holy Spirit teach you afresh

“That means the power of darkness was disarmed by the word of the Holy Ghost, making darkness good but without any power. The power of darkness was annihilated by this. In Genesis 1 vs 2, a new power was introduced, and light ruled. Even a lesser light was introduced at night to ensure that darkness could not rule.”So I am here to remind you that darkness and every agent of darkness roaming in the dark trying to scare us, is a weak foe. We the children of light have more power than them.

Being enlightened simply means living by the laws of light, we are the light of this world and to be powerful we have to operate in the infinite wisdom of God. Jesus was trying to teach this secret to his disciples when he said “I and my Father are one, if you have seen me you have seen my Father because I only do what I see my Father do. ” That is obedience to the last dot, I use the authority of my Father , I only do what he does and I don’t negotiate with elements he doesn’t negotiate with.

“We don’t see God negotiating with darkness here; He simply commanded light to come into being. This is powerful, which means we don’t have to negotiate with the elements of darkness or fruits emanating from the pit of hell if they manifest in our sphere of influence. There is no room to negotiate with a defeated enemy. He failed from the beginning and he also failed at the cross. Therefore, he has no power to operate in our lives.”

Hallelujah, we have victory in JESUS Christ. This is the season to exercise our full authority in the land of the living. The power behind that sickness was disarmed on the Cross so in JESUS’ name I pray that healing can manifest in your body right now.

The power behind that poverty, and lack had been disarmed in JESUS’ name,I pray that you will have abundance in JESUS’ name.

“Whenever there is an abundance of light, darkness disperses. From now on, as a coheir in the Kingdom of Light, your joy will multiply. You will never lack the wisdom to multiply your resources, as we were commanded to ‘be fruitful and multiply’.”

“Instead of living in fear, you can have confidence in Jesus Christ to expand the Kingdom of God here on Earth. I pray that the Holy Spirit will teach and equip you with an abundance mindset, because with God, there is always growth and expansion.”

Rise above mediocrity

You are being renewed everyday

‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NIV‬ Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

There are times we get tempted to give up , and most of the times convince our mind that we just have to let God take control of everything whilst we do nothing. Yes it’s normal to get tired of trying but what does the Bible actually say we must do when confronted with challenges?

David was confronted by a vicious enemy Saul , sitting idle would have resulted in his death so he resorted to taking action either he had to fight back or seek refuge elsewhere. Can we argue that David didn’t have faith in God , obviously NO. In his struggle to survive he learnt patience and better winning strategies.

When Gideon and the man of his era were confronted by vicious Philistines their best strategy was to hide from the enemies but we see God sending his angel to Gideon to inform him that hiding from the enemy wasn’t the best of strategy they had to confront the enemy in the name of God. WOW.

Daniel and his colleagues were thrown in the pit to be food to the Lions. In that situation they were worshipping God ,thus confronting the visible forces with the invisible supreme power of God..The rest is History .The King has already dissed Daniel by saying may that God you always proclaim save you . God surely saved him .

Mordecai, was under attack from Naman.. he had nowhere to run to but he knew his God would turn things around. Naman had planned to wipe off the whole generation, they needed to fight back or be history. They embarked on a fast ,and send Esther as their representative. That was a winning strategy right.

Resistance is a necessary part of life, but many of us struggle with it. We must resist every attempt by negative forces to bring us down. These forces seek to instill fear and doubt in our hearts, but we cannot let them win. Too often, fear of authority or societal pressure leads people to give in to worldly temptations. However, just because something is allowed by the government does not mean it is right for us to do. We must stay strong and true to our own values and beliefs.

As you gain more wisdom about God’s ways, fear will disappear. Doubt in God and yourself causes fear. Even if you’re in a bad situation like Mordecai, don’t worry. We serve a God who can turn things around for us.

Remember this: In every challenging situation, God has a solution. No matter what you’re going through, He will see you through it. The key is to submit your worries to God and act with unwavering faith. If you do this, you will become more enlightened and renewed with each passing day.

This is the season to face Goliath head on, it doesn’t matter people we look upto are hiding in fear. We have to press on and defeat every limitation imposed by the enemy. This is the season to fight this war for the Lord. Get ready for victory.
